LegalBlocks: FAIRified Lego-Style Application Development for Legal Research Software

Public Summary
This project aims to create a no-/low-code platform where people can create their own legal research applications while automatically adhering to FAIR principles. By making features of two existing legal research softwares, Lawnotation and Case Law Explorer, work as reusable components, researchers and potentially organizations such as courts and government agencies can use these features as is or test new ideas by creating visual workflows on the platform to further improving access to justice and reduce costs for the public.

The above projects have gone through the TDCC-SSH Challenge Call 2025 process. It has been approved by the NWO in May 2026 and will start within 6 months of approval.
