Research Data Management (RDM) professionals – such as data stewards, research data managers, and data curators – play a key role advancing FAIR data and Open Science. To lead impactful RDM projects and foster better data practices, they need the knowledge and skills to shape strategies and to manage change.
LCRDM, DANS and TDCC-LSH have joined forces to offer data stewards in the Netherlands the opportunity to participate in a special invited workshop by Antje Manske on Strategic Data Stewardship & Change Management.
This interactive one-day course provides RDM professionals with practical tools, methods, and templates to plan strategically, manage change effectively, and apply what they learn right away.
If you are interested in attending, please secure your spot as soon as possible, but no later than 6 May: Strategic Data stewardship: Agent of Change – Fill in form. If we have then reached the minimum of 10 participants, we will send you the formal registration form and invoice. You can also use the form to express your interest but are not available on 28 May.
What will you learn?
This course is for RDM professionals who want to:
- Identify and manage their stakeholders
- Clearly communicate their role and services to foster collaboration and adoption
- Set meaningful strategic goals in collaboration with stakeholders and translate these into actionable plans
- Evaluate the impact of planned changes and manage change effectively
- Build resilience in handling different responses to change
By the end of this course, participants will be ready to build stronger partnerships and lead change with more confidence.

The workshop is designed for anyone actively involved in research data management who wishes to strengthen their professional role, actively shape change processes, and enhance their resilience.

Antje Manske
Antje Manske has a background as a Training Manager and Prosci Certified Change Practitioner and has been working since 2023 within a German national initiative for research data management, Base4NFDI. Before that, she spent more than ten years in industry and management consulting, leading software training projects.
In her freelance work, she supports data stewards in developing their transferable skills—such as change management, didactics, and consulting. Antje is an experienced workshop facilitator and keynote speaker and a certified expert in change management. Her workshops Agents of Change and Strategic Data Stewardship and Change Management (one-day version) have already been delivered to more than 100 participants across multiple European countries.
