NWO TDCC Call for Proposals 2026 is open !

As of 1 May 2026, NWO has opened the TDCC Call for Proposals 2026.
Researchers can now submit proposals aimed at advancing the digitalisation ambitions of the Thematic Digital Competence Centres covering data, software, and computing infrastructure. A total of €2.4 million is available across all TDCCs.
The call is non-competitive: proposals are not ranked against each other. Instead, each TDCC community determines which applications move forward within the available budget. This community-driven approach ensures that priorities reflect actual needs in the field.
Changes compared to previous years
Two adjustments have been made for this round: material costs per project are now capped at a fixed maximum amount (rather than a percentage), and the maximum budget for organising network meetings has been increased within that envelope.
How the process works via TDCC-LSH
Before any proposal can be submitted to NWO, all applicants must complete a mandatory preliminary phase with the relevant TDCC.
For researchers in the life sciences and health domain, this means going through TDCC-LSH requirements.
We have our own internal process to manage submissions and ensure alignment with our community's priorities. If you are considering submitting a proposal, please check our website.
