Programme
19 May 2025
On the 19th of May, preceding the BioSB conference, a BioSB PhD retreat and BioSB Faculty Group meeting will be organised.
The BioSB PhD retreat is an annual retreat that is open to all PhD's, master students and young scientists in the field of bioinformatics and systems biology. The retreat is designed to facilitate connecting with fellow colleagues while providing informative sessions and is co-organised by the YoungCB (ISCB Regional Student Group Netherlands).
The BioSB faculty group consists of a strategic group of PI’s and permanent staff across the Dutch research community that are consulted twice a year regarding strategic issues at the national level, including scientific agenda setting, ambassadorship or specific lobbying activities. The aim is to optimize the position of the bioinformatics and systems biology community in the framework of national developments towards e.g. Roadmap of large-scale research infrastructures (GWIs), the NWO LIFE research communities, NWO Open Science, Thematic Digital Competence Centres (TDCCs), the National Growth Fund and sector plans. Representatives from the private sector are also explicitly encouraged to attend and register! You can register for the meeting using the conference registration form. Please note that you can also register for the faculty meeting without attending the conference and participation in the faculty meeting is free of charge!
