TDCC-SSH Interoperability Missions

Working together to improve interoperability

How can we make research data in the social sciences and humanities more usable, shareable and understandable, even beyond the boundaries of a single discipline?
That is the focus of the TDCC-SSH's Interoperability Missions.

An Interoperability Mission is a one-year experiment in which we work with data stewards, researchers, and other stakeholders to find ways to make data work together more effectively. No grand plan from above, but practical, collaborative, step-by-step work towards achievable goals.

Each mission focuses on a specific challenge or domain. We map out what is already happening, what people are encountering, and how existing solutions can be better aligned. Sometimes that means harmonising standards, sometimes it means better metadata, or simply finding each other and sharing knowledge.

The Interoperability Missions are funded by Open Science NL within the Strengthening DCCs programme and carried out by the TDCC-SSH in collaboration with DANS, CLARIAH, ODISSEI and the LDCCs, among others.

We are still at the beginning, which means you can help shape this ongoing work. Would you like to contribute your ideas, participate or simply find out what is going on? Contact Alex Brandsen for a chat!
