Early-Stage Project Framing and Agile Collaboration: A Masterclass for Cross-Disciplinary Academic Teams
We warmly invite current TDCC project team members, groups developing project proposals, and teams considering submitting an expression of interest to participate in this interactive workshop on early-stage project framing.
This masterclass is designed for academic teams working across disciplines who want to strengthen their project ideas and their collaborative approach. As an interdisciplinary team, communicating your vision clearly and collaboratively is essential. Thinking strategically about your approach, and drawing on tested tools from other environments, can help you craft a compelling and fundable proposal.
Led by experienced trainer Lucia Collarà, the session introduces proven methods from the worlds of business and innovation—such as value proposition design and agile collaboration—and demonstrates how they can be effectively applied in academic research contexts.

In this course, you will:
Learn how Agile and Scrum principles—commonly used in industry—can be adapted to foster collaboration, flexibility, and shared ownership in academic projects
Apply Design Thinking methods to identify user needs, define research challenges, and co-create innovative solutions
Use the Business Model Canvas to clarify your project’s value proposition, delivery model, and intended impact
Whether you’re preparing a new project proposal, refining an idea, or planning to apply for funding in the future, this masterclass will provide hands-on tools to help your team move forward with confidence and clarity.
