The CAFE (Code Along, Feel Empowered) Method

- Bottleneck area: Community building and establishing online presence
- Status: granted funding
- Duration: tba
This project addresses the limited opportunities for researchers and supporting staff in the NES domain to learn and practice coding in an accessible, collaborative setting. The project aims to create a national network of Programming Cafes using the CAFE method, providing resources, guidance, and a community-building framework to enhance coding literacy among programmers in research. To achieve these goals, the project will expand the existing CAFE Playbook with strategies for starting and managing cafes, organize roadshow and kickstart events to engage new members, and create reusable session materials to facilitate continuous learning and collaboration.
