TDCC-NES is hiring!
Thanks to funding from Open Science NL, we are looking for two ontology engineers to help the TDCC-NES develop a new national service, leading and stimulating ontology development and implementation for researchers in the natural and engineering sciences domain.
The roles come with funding for international collaboration, for example, through attendance at international conferences or study visits.
The planned project was graded as excellent on all assessment criteria by the NWO review committee and the TDCC-NES Governing Board is excited to recruit and begin work with partners around the country on this exciting work.

The ontology service will be developed with the TDCC-NES Governing Board, and will connect with community managers focused on research data interoperability, recently appointed at local DCCs across the country. The appointed ontology engineers will work closely with the TDCC-NES staff team, making use of community events and network connections to develop time-boxed ontology projects with different groups of researchers or infrastructure providers from across the domain.
With AI and computational methods making reliable and structured research data an urgent necessity, we expect ontology engineers to have an ongoing and vital role in supporting scientific research.
