Public Summary
Research regarding LLMs is a rapidly emerging field, requiring insights from social fields like linguistics, sociology, and political sciences. Researchers in these fields face significant challenges regarding privacy, ethical model selection, and dependence on commercial providers.
While several universities have developed local solutions, a coordinated national approach is needed. This project encompasses a pilot of such a national platform that is collectively developed with academic community and builds upon existing initiatives and SURF's infrastructure. Through clear guidelines and training resources, the platform will enable responsible AI adoption in SSH research while ensuring sustainable, independent access and research integrity.
