Project Summary

Researchers using personal data, AI, or IP-protected content face confusing legal rules from multiple new EU laws. Questions arise like: Can I reuse data from one project to train AI models in another? How do I determine custom data sharing terms? LEGIS provides answers through: (1) a Legal Roadmap translating complex laws into practical guidance; (2) an Open Knowledge Bank with decision trees and examples; and (3) a National Expert Network keeping advice current. These tools help researchers, universities, and infrastructures like SURF navigate GDPR, copyright, AI regulation, and data sharing laws—enabling responsible research innovation.
