Natural & Engineering Sciences

The Thematic Digital Competence Centre (TDCC) for the Natural & Engineering Sciences (NES) is a network organisation that brings together researchers, local DCC’s and other research support staff, infrastructure providers, knowledge and expertise networks, as well as other strategic initiatives within the NES domain.
The aim of the TDCC-NES is to ensure researchers and support staff have the competencies, the services, and the tools necessary to manage data and software in a FAIR manner, by identifying challenges that are common across multiple institutions and initiating collaborative projects to mitigate them.

The TDCC-NES is an investment by NWO as part of the implementation plan for investments in digital research infrastructure in the Netherlands. It is also supported in-kind by its stakeholders and is hosted in the 4TU.ResearchData team at TU Delft. Funding supports a small staff office, network activities, and an annual project funding call.
